I'm looking for some of this blood in a male. Or Linruff.or...lol..a small male for earthwork.Does anyone know of any decent ones around? I'd rather it be from Midwest to east coast on account of pick up or shipping. Some great dogs out west but I'm sure what I'm looking for can be found this way too.thank you.

I know this is technically a Patterdale area of the website. but i also know theres a bunch of hunters so my question to you hunters is what would you say the best terrier is at any individual job.. by this i mean what would yall wanna have if yall were Badger hunting or Raccoon hunting and so forth.. Jack Russell, Patterdale,Border, Plummer , or Jagd terrier? now im a complete rookie to hunting with terriers so dont bite my head off..Also which would you say a new comer should start with...

Quite a few "dog people" have said they're convinced Rudy's a Patterdale/APBT and it's just got me curious of what this cross looks like. He definitely does have similarities to both breeds, here are a few shots of him. (The black and white one)

Pick up any book on Jack Russell Terriers, for example, and Trump will be presented as the first white foxing terrier on earth -- never mind that the young John Russell selected it for looks alone and had no problem finding another white foxing terrier to mate with it.

Hope I dont catch any shit about this, beeing that its not about a pit, but this is game dog.com so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to find a patterdale terrier. called acouple places, but everyone wants to know what your gonna use the dog for. Ive told them for hunting, for a house pet, acouple different answers. They all act like they dont want to sell their dogs.

We might be putting something together. They will be basically Nutall, Gould, Riviotta. Gould's Spartacus H.O.F. Black Badgers Tombstone H.O.F. Kickapoo Spunky H.O.F. Riviotta's Zed, Goulds Scratch. And a little bit of bulldog in there aways back.

Anyone know the difference? I see a lot of mention of the 2.
A pretty important Patterdale guy told me that Nuttall dogs were used by a lot of the fell packs in England. Some of the guys started complaining his dogs were too rough so he switched up his breeding to soften them up.

Another thing I heard was that Nuttall changed his program to accommodate the american public who preferred the smaller dogs.
I've heard that Miner was the dividing line.Before hard,after, smaller and less hard....

i treated my self to a high quality dog. its mother is 11tts nuttals x wheeler and father is 14tts nick stevens x wheeler. very happy with him. im also new to the site aswell thanks
